Strawberry Margarita

Ingredients

  • Margarita salt or Kosher salt

  • Lime wedges

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries, washed and stemmed

  • 1 cup tequila

  • ⅔ cup lime juice (about 5–6 limes)

  • ⅓ cup agave syrup or simple syrup

  • ¼ cup triple sec

Instructions

In a shallow dish or plate that’s as wide as your serving glass, add Kosher salt to a depth of about ¼ inch. Run a lime wedge along the rim of each glass, then dip the rim into the salt to coat. Set the glasses aside while you prepare the drink.

In a blender, combine the strawberries, tequila, lime juice, syrup, and triple sec. Blend until smooth.

Let the mixture rest for 2–3 minutes, then skim any foam from the top. Taste and adjust the flavor with more tequila, lime juice, or syrup as desired.

Fill each prepared glass with ice and pour in the strawberry margarita mix. Garnish with a lime wedge, if desired.
