Easy White Wine Sauce

Ingredients

  • 4 Tablespoons clarified butter

  • 1 shallot, finely chopped

  • 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped

  • 1 Tablespoon AP flour (GF blend works as well)

  • 1/2 cup Sauvignon Blanc

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

  • salt to taste

Instructions

Melt butter in a small sauce pan or skillet over medium low heat.

Add shallot, garlic and stir to coat. Sweat aromatics for 2 minutes to soften shallots, without adding any color. Sprinkle in flour, stir and cook for 1 minute more. Stir in wine and cream and simmer for 5-7 minutes. Add cheese and stir until melted. Taste and add salt to taste.

Serve over chicken, shrimp or pasta.
