Ingredients

  • 2 cups strawberries, rinsed and quartered

  • 1 cup raspberries or blackberries

  • 1 cup blueberries

  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur

  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 orange, zested and juiced, or 1/2 cup orange juice

  • 2 cups heavy cream

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 vanilla bean

Instructions

Macerate the Berries

Wash and quarter the strawberries. Gently rinse the remaining berries. Finely zest and juice the orange.

Combine the orange juice, orange zest, orange liqueur, and powdered sugar. Fold the berries into the mixture and let stand for 30 minutes to macerate.

Make the Cream

Whip the heavy cream and vanilla bean until soft peaks form. Add the powdered sugar and sour cream, then continue whipping until firm peaks form. Do not overwhip.

Assemble and Serve

Spoon the berry mixture into wine glasses or serving dishes. Top with the whipped cream mixture or a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.

Garnish with fresh mint, if desired.
